what about hook up with the new radio head gear you go the other day from ssp? or that to flimsy. I watched the 2 demo videos... whats the loud huming? =/ differant camera with mic might fix ? and notice the camera wobble in the first one... but no wobble in the red laser clip.... tighten the camera? second clip... is very smooth oh... date and time stamp... removable ? FC First vid is shows the cam mounted under a WE dragon - so the shaking is the blow back. 2nd vid shows the cam mounted on the UMP - so no blow back - no shaking Date/Time stamp is removable. Buzzing is caused by the mic and most likely my air-con Buzzing is related to mic and not my aircon doh. It's loud on the wireless mic but quiet on the wire mic. I mounted the cam onto the radio headset and it works but I can already see the complaints from people regarding it's hard to see what I am looking at/shooting at. This is because it's mounted on the left (or the right) of the head, so it doesn't show exactly what you're looking at - because the camera is not centered.

Dead2k1 suggested a good idea:
Use outdoor/camping headlight that comes with the headband/strap. Gut out the electronics from the headlight and fit the square micro-camera in the casing.
This way the camera is centered and vertical-angle adjustable.

Warning...
Wireless DVR cam 2.4 GHz interferes with your wireless internet xD
It cut my internet off on both my laptops and they both couldn't detect my router until I turned it off lol.
Talk about cancelling out someone's wireless internet.

DVR head cam - taped onto my ESS shooting glasses for the CQB Studio Suits game: Gun cam - mounted onto the rail below the gun: How it looks: Peeking with the gun sticking out - Just for tests. This shouldn't be allowed for real games as it violates the "blind fire" rule. DVR handset - just start recording, turn it onto standby recording mode (screen and buttons off to save batt), drop it into your pocket and start the game. --- The setup I had for the CQB Studio Suits game: - 3 second channel switch between gun cam and head cam (recording) - Max picture quality, stereo sound on both cameras - .avi recording format w/ 640x320 resolution. Picture quality on the day: - Due to low light and the use of the pinhole camera, the video pictures were muddy and dark looking in shadowed areas. - The head mounted camera was tilted to the left so the video came out tilted I need to use putty to stabilize it. Issues: - Gun cam is very disorientating sometimes because there are alot of floor scenes, but when the gun is held forward or when firing the videos are very good. - head cam gives the best video recording results but due to the position of the camera, it doesn't kill a good "kill cam" - So the 3 second channel switch mode was used to get a balance of both head and gun cam views. Future improvements & testing: - Will record outdoor game with channel switch, head cam only, gun cam only modes. - Need another battery for the DVR handset, as battery was almost out at the end of the day.

Noa, you know how above the barrel of the UMP, right at the tip of your gun, there is a cover for the bolt lever? If you remove the spring that makes the bolt "fun" you can prob stick the camera in there!

I just noticed on the DVR.
I can set the brightness color and contrast manually xD
That'll solve the dim view problem! Woops! More field testing needed eh!

yes... but has come to my attention... a IR light and camera.. does not a night vision make. but it can for surely use to record night games... as far as your IR lights can see. also... my model DVR... seems to have less features. =/ eg: i don't think i have the multiple view switching option... and sound is crap... and can't be improved on. and with a little more "angle adjustment"... we can be fraging along nicely. Finally back in HK to record an outdoor game with the DVR setup I use: Recommended that you Watch in High Quality at the Youtube page.
Some footage changed color to yellow - this was due to dust/dirt in the air that stuck onto the camera lens.
The changes in sunlight also made the outer blur/warp more visible(?) of the camera lens.
But as you can see in some scenes the view is crisp and clear with very little interference.
--
Next DVR video will show 1 DVR handset and two wireless cameras, attached to two people moving as a team.
The DVR will be set on 3-second auto channel switch between the two cameras =) Should look great!

Please oh please, someone also get the DVR set I'm using =X
It's so lonely with 1 camera on the field haha.
As FC said - we need some battle cam vs battle cam footage!
That'll be one hell of a edit job and a video worth seeing!

Won't it conflict though if someone got the same as yours?

Won't it conflict though if someone got the same as yours? Sadly, the wireless camera has only 4 channels. So within 30m, only 4 people can use wireless w/o interruption. But the DVR can use wire cameras too - so depending on the case I/others can use wire cameras. At the moment the wireless cameras are a lot more versatile: - 'tap' into your friend's view using your handset - No messy wires (For gun cams you don't want a long ass wire on the gun leading back to you or having to duct tape a whole DVR set onto the gun) Wire cameras are obvious just best for recording one view with the setup stored on your gear.

a wired DVR set on your head would be good... that way your team mates will see more or less what you see... if we can get small enough cameras, Yoni can probably make a mold to fit it only combat glasses/goggles and/or masks...

Update on DVR Cameras for outdoors -
After trying the DVR camera for outdoor games two issues have popped up:
1) Small lens cameras are unable to clearly pickup distant views (wireless cam I use says 100m spec but effective focus range is about half or less).
2) Under direct sunlight most wire and wireless cameras will result in their image interfered with glare and the video will turn out yellowish or look like you turned up your contrast too high.
===
The obvious solutions are:
1) Get a bigger lens camera for outdoor games (small lens are fine for indoors though mind you) and protect its lens with your choice of coverings.
2) Get a sunshade or cover the top of the camera with any random shyt you can find (paper/duct/plastic thingy/cardboard/your lunch...etc). This will greatly improve video quality.
===
An additional trick I found useful:
- For sunny days, use a lightly black tinted lens/plastic deco film and stick it in front of the camera. This acts like sunglasses for the camera and things won't look like they're all glowing or too bright.
===
I will be getting a larger lens wire camera specifically for outdoor game use.

Upgrade~ CCD Color Wire video camera - With near-infrared visibility (e.g I can see you pee in the dark) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charge-coupled_device[UPDATED PICTURES] With US style radio headset & headband mounted CCD headcam Just quickly attached onto my bowman head strap (removed bowman speaker).
It uses a rechargeable 12V DC battery (12+hrs run time) and plugs into my DVR handset via AV-In. As shown above it has a detachable sun shade (slide-able too) and the resolution is very good. Too bad the DVR handset can only record in 680 resolution so it can't make the best use of the camera. A seperate mic must be used, which is not bad because I can now capture my own voice clearly - previous videos showed my voice being muffled. The camera is a tad weighty hence a proper head strap is being used. It has a lens cover already and is water proof up to ~50 meters. Not that I'm going to go diving with it but no fear of it being ruined in case of rain. I'm going to spray paint it OD Green and fix it properly on the head.=== Cost of CCD camera: $450 HKD

Wooot. Massive update. Introducing the standalone, perfected CCD Color DVR camera pack! Includes: - Lithium battery (12hrs+ run time) for CCD cam - Wide angle mic (powered by a standard cell battery) - Double mag pouch used to hold the DVR handset + battery - Headband mounted CCD cam. Features: - Easily removable headset (just take off plugs) - Mag pouch is mounted on a thin belt, letting you use it standalone in different positions such as a bandoleer. At first getting a working set was easy but the carrying options were hard to figure out due to wire length and battery storage locations. With a misunderstood suggestion from HF, it was simple to find an unused drop leg mag pouch and convert it to belt carry with the wires cable tied neatly. The best part of this setup is that I can use this particular DVR set with any type of gear as I just simply need to click on the DVR pack and I'm ready to go. With a CCD type camera picture quality is amazing but sadly the DVR handset's recoding resolution isn't great so video's still come out fuzzy - but there's nothing you can do about that. I've yet to find an affordable DVR handset that is wireless and AV-in that can record in higher resolutions.
