yes... making batteries disappear are always good projects and can make our toys more streamline and neater... although maybe a little more fiddler. generally stocks and larger forgrips are used to hide batteries. but sometimes slimer and folding stocks prevent this and as my next dmr / sniper rifle project will have this problem... i asked a kiwi friend... and he pointed out a obvious solution. as seen here... on a HK416... which normal comes with a PEQ battery box... or a chubfoot type stock to store battery in. not much of a "how too"... but pics say a 1000 words... He cut up and rewired his short stick lipo for this project... but for us... its just easier and safer to just buy a new tri stick lipo. he is a qualified electrician... so maybe... don't try this at home... i170.photobucket.com/albums/u263/asnzauckland/Misc/Projects/hk416/P1040015.jpg[/img]charging plug... for my new project... i'll need to put some holes to make the body fore wired... maybe added holes in delta ring... and extension wires to add to make charging easier. i would like to make it removable... but if not.. battery will be perminant. but ... wait and see how i go. if you have any similar work done to make batteries dissapper... please share. ;D FC

do you aim your HK416 backwards with the Barrel facing you?

All the 1 piece barrels have a groove on the bottom to let forward battery leads so you won't have to drill or anything.
Because you're using lipo, you can use a long extended wire where you can easily reach in and pull out the lipo from the handguard instead of having to dismantle it.
If you use a NiCd or NiMh battery with a long wire you will lose voltage but because the lipo is 11.1 you won't have problems =)
The other way is to use the DBOY's ANPEQ battery box and stick a lipo in there.
The anpeq box has a removable end held by a screw disguised as the real anpeq's OFF Mode 1 Mode 2...etc selector.
