I little kiwi project i might be involved with (eg: I'm supplying weaponry)... and is still a early work in progress. but you can see what direction they are heading.... his keeping the weapons a secret for now... but as i'm in the loop... i been priceing 6 x mp5K's.. and he also mentioned 10 x m203 shells... lol but would probally just start with 2 x mp5k's to get the programing sort.... which could be complicated... as he wants... will be a orsome beast for sure... and still alot at the... wait and see stage. i hope it goes as planned... and maybe... i get to face it oneday. unless it has independent wheel driving, i cant see how it's gonna turn, as each pair of wheels are connected to 1 axle each, and no visible turning thingies... looks nice though... ;D ;D

Switzerland.... can have anything.... just no lasers. oh.. nz has no power limit ether... so you could have a deadly airsoft gun... just can't be full auto. in that reaspect... nz is a backwards country. FC

Well, gun laws are about restricting weapons lethality so thats not neccesarily about power.
A gun is a gun, hi or low power, even a .22 can kill; heance many nations which allow even a few guns in limited cases (i.e. farmers in NZ) is not the problem, is dangerous people with mal content.
So with that in mind, they don't want to hinder the honest working proffesional, but they do need to reign in with gun control to reduce gun deaths. Thusly nations like NZ and the US (and others) focus on the banning of weapons not needed by proffesionals, a clasiffication generaly refered by most countries as assault weapons.
Now by the law, the definition of an assault weapon varies from contry to country. In the US it's about mag size, barrel length and stock type. In NZ, it's about full-auto. Different countries restrict assault weapons with different lettering in the law but the intent is the same (with mixed results, obviously).
And thus spaketh the Arclight.

looking at the censorship there and the reflection, the position of the legs...
could that possibly be a wang?
back unto topic...
maybe 6 mp5ks to make a 6 barreled minigun setup?
also, from the position of the motors, looks like he's gonna make this a track based drone
and the m203 shells.... perhaps in 2 configurations just like the frontlines: fuel of war drone. with a minigun and a mortar setup

the question is, how the hell is it supposed to turn? or is it just supposed to move back and forth, with no turning at all?

no i think it's gonna have tracks, the axles aren't connecting the wheels, the wheels are probably on bearings, acting as bogeys for a track system that will have a third drive wheel where the motor sticks out the side. the two tracks move individually and turning is just like any other two tracked vehicle.
lol i'm saying this as if i'm making it... which i have plans to someday... ive already sourced 1/4 scale tracks and i have access to welding and joining equipment and literally tonnes of scrap aluminum and steel

what.....no....no tracks
u kno wt a bobcat is?......4 wheels that have independent motors for each or only 2 of the wheels to turn it....does not have "steering"...people make robots like that all the time...its like a skid steer system or som shyt

point taken.....except i rekon it'll drive a chain which will in turn drive both wheels on the same side...cuz u can see the cog wheel between the tyres and the chassis....so it'll work identical to that if it had tracks....except its only using wheels
thts my hunch

Yeh, I imagine the motors will drive an individual cog which will sit inside the track-chain, the large wheels are just sitting on bearings and will serve as the main weight bearing points with no drive, thus each motor powers the whole set of wheels on each side from the upper point. Means, the track-chain will be trianglular in final set up, a la number five. (Minus the torso of course, the weight would be too much for the motors one would think )

the question is, how the hell is it supposed to turn? or is it just supposed to move back and forth, with no turning at all? i know it's a little old but looking at the pics shown above, it's clear that what seems to be the axle isnt actually a typical fixed axle. it's a free rotating spindle that allows things to be mounted on it without it being fixed. hence the end of wheel with a dead nut there. and note the 'brake disc' looking thing on the inside of the wheel area... and think to yourself 'bicycle' and how does it move/turn/independantly move from the other side? look where the motor is mounted. and read the post about 'ordering chains' and think what would happen if the chain was put where the motor gear will go outside of it's framed bracket and those geared wheels are. and i'm sure if the kiwis wanted to change it to tracks, it shouldnt be too hard considering the basic tracks supports should fit right on with a small mod to house the tracks in line.
