if you're going to be switching networks, find the one suitable for your needs... i.e. if you say texting, find one that includes a butt load of free texts that include cross-network texting, since the HK cellphone suppliers charge for cross network texting...
and minutes can be cheap as hell... if you're not bothered... some plans are around 100hkd/month and you can get a semi decent phone to go with it...

you should buy a sim from every company, and then switch between them, and store the numbers on that particular card that the receiver uses. ;D
Totally uncomplicated and economical to the EXTREME!

quite a bit necro... but imo 3 = no good, i'm considering changing back to 123.
3's connection gets disrupted all over the place, and their standard plan does not offer roaming services... + they sell your number to phone advertising ppl... (from my experience)

i believe they do as well... I was receiving 2 to 3 random calls a DAY!
It died down to 1 everyday now... but still pretty annoying.

I used to get a lot lol those of you who can read chinese can look up local forums and find out. There is an online archive of cold caller phone numbers somewhere. in anycase... my ex colleague is with 12free, but she gets cold calls at least 4-5 times a week. She sat opposite me and it was obvious that she got more than I. but unless you are expecting a job interview... I'd just refuse to answer calls. There is a silence option for ringing on nokia phones, or you can plain hang up. Yena is with CSL by the way Just whinging... I really don't think separate SIMs for each network circle would be... er... well it's just insane. if all my friends were in HK at once and were evenly spread across say 4 networks... how would I be able to memorise each incoming call number when they are only saved on the sim card of their own network?
I really don't think it's very organised at all... hold on let me call yena "switch phone off, remove cover and battery and swap sims and reboot phone?" and then call... ok got to get back to jim "PCCW" ok now to call FC and Jin...
don't tell me to get 4 phones... that's even less sensible than walking from east HK to west kowloon just to speak to yena and jin...
my friends would also have my 3 number... as well as my other sim card numbers or what?
and whilst I'm using another sim... my main sim would be offline. or is there a multiSIM-phone adapter that I can use for tactical intranetwork tactical switching?
