I have an old TM M4A1 with minor internal mods I got 2nd hand from a cousin. It's working just fine for me so far, but the only thing that bugs me is the infamous barrel wobble. I've done a bit of researching, with typical fixes involve one piece metal barrels. My question is: what is it that I need to get a barrel and body assembly more rigid? If it is indeed a metal one piece barrel, which one is appropriate and which one would you recommend in HK? I wouldn't mind changing it to a CQB length with RIS grips, with crane battery stock mod Also, how much would I be looking at for these additional modifications? Quotations anyone? Is it even worth it to your opinion, as apposed to buying a new AEG, like say a G&P M4 below $3000hkd. I'm fine with my gearbox and motor, but body wise maybe not.

You will need: 1 Piece outer barrel Metal body set kit RAS/RIS - the old TM one will not fit. Going cheapest, you will need a budget of around $1500-2000 HKD, and assuming you will assemble/install everything together. Alternatives I can suggest are G&P front sets of which there is a large range from M16 to M4, CQBR front set kits that you can just drop onto a metal body. They are a bit pricey at first glance but they are of good quality. But still, even with a 1 piece outer barrel and metal body, you will still find the two halves of the gun (front and back) to wobble a bit. It is an Inherent design problem on the airsoft M4s =/ The surefire way of removing any barrel wobble is to get a 1 piece upper reciever + RAS kit such as the MRP - Monolithic Rail Platform. This also solves the problem of having to buy a seperate RAS and metal body. - But as you can see the price will hit over $2000 HKD. It would be better to get a whole gun that is under $3000 that comes in the flavor that you'd like.

Much appreciated Noa, I agree its much better to just buy a new metal AEG. Hmm... any chance any of you have one you can part with? I noticed Noa has a gun collection larger than CS does

I do think I have one available. It is one of my WIP or what I like to call "New Gun From Left Over Parts Number 6"
It fires at around 1.1J and the gearbox is in fine working condition, put together with Element parts.
Larue 9" (I think) RAS and Outer Barrel set DBOYS metal body (will confirm markings later) DBOYS metal gearbox (rear wire) SPR grip
I never got to decide on what stock to put on it but I have both full stock or a stock tube that I can put on, or an OD color Magpul-Copy UBR stock.
It isn't fully assembled yet however.
Pictures later X.x

Sounds great! Let me know when you got it ready I'd rather not have a full stock, and I don't even know what a UBR stock even is haha.

Hey, just wondering about your parts listed above you had laying around. How much around would it cost me? You can send it to my pm.
I had visited a gunshop and I explained my situation to the owner, he also said that it's not worth buying separate upgrade metal parts, but rather he recommended I buy a china metal body aeg m4 and transplant my TM internals into it. It looks to be a very affordable option.
If I can translant my TM internals with v2 gearbox and metal hopup, what else can I transplant that in besides another m4? Can I put it in a HK 416 body or a Scar? Suggestions?
Your comments or advice would be appreciated.

Apologies for the late reply Inferno, here we go: The parts I got are wholesale so they're cheaper than retail. Since they're used I would recommend asking me or FC to see what we can get you at discount prices such as LaRue or Daniel Defense RAS sets. Getting a china gun is definately a cheaper option - In this case I'd just swap over the inner barrel (if yours is a tightbore), hopup and gearbox + motor and put the china parts over into the TM. This allows you to make the most of what you have resulting in two usable guns. You can put your M4 gearbox into any gun out there that uses a Version 2 (M4) type gearbox. 416 and Scar included (although the tappet plate and some extra parts may be different. Personally - I'd just get the china gun and tune it up as a whole new gun in itself than move the TM gearbox over. You don't have to be fancy with the tuning as the china clone gearboxes are pretty good for standard power up to 1.6J. Reshimming, re-lubricating and changing of the usual parts like bearings, piston and cylinder sets (of your preference). Regarding the parts I listed above - I can't sell them seperately as they go with the whole gun that is to be assembled (some time... -.-). I'll pm you regarding their prices (finally - again sorry for late reply).
