Hey guys,
I'm trying to start up HK's first official LARP guild/group. i have a relatively large shipment of LARPing equipment (Swords, Axes, Hammers, Polearms, Shields) coming in to HK. Available for purchase.
I'm a complete noob at this stuff myself, so am looking for individuals who enjoy RPG-ing and would like to bring it to a whole new level in HK.
Looking for serious minded individuals. Any profits made from running games/selling equipment will be shared to those helping out (as Dungeon/Game Masters, Event managers, PR, Marketing etc...)
If it all works well, I'll go and apply for a business license as well.

Well okay, I'm not sure how much actual gaming I would do at all but I would love to work on developing the game itself. Structure, game play, rules, story, etc. As I get into it, no doubt I will get caught up and start playing anyway.

Yeah, okay I'll admit it; the more I think about it, the more ideas I have and the more I want in.

billy: Tis my first business in HK @chow: The swords are all Latex/Rubber pieces, hard enough to whack and hit each other without breaking, very good quality, but are not deadly weapons. Though like any toy, can cause severe injuries if not used properly and without rules (ala Airsoft). Also, I wont be bringing any bows/crossbows into HK, for reasons yo u can probably guess, if not; i dont want people running around the streets and parks shooting indiscriminately into random ppl, much like locals kids with airsoft guns! @fc: No spells when we first start, though it may come in at a later point. I want to "KISS" as possible. When we have a large enough following, and people who know how to play, then we might add in magic!

I have only LARPed once but loved it. My boyfriend has several years experience. I think we could potentially start up a guild.

Hey Catoforest, Stumbled on this through Google. I'm also inexperienced but also really keen to get into LARP in Hong Kong. I haven't been able to find anything here really - just some tabletop rpg groups. That doesn't interest me as much. I'm keen to know what happened with this thread too (?) - and if not - would be up for seeing if we could get something going

Hi there,
This sounds like a pretty interesting and solid idea, i read this a while back and brought it up to a few colleagues of mine and we'd be interested in having a sit down with you and see how we can help you take off this LARP business in Hong Kong, as we do also see a demand for this nische market in Asia.
Please feel free to contact me at 98820420 or at lewis.lupton@gmail.com, we would love to talk more about this.
All the bets,

I hope this isn't too late, but I've been very interested in being part of a LARP group for a long while. I have no experience in the activity, but I certainly want to give it a try.

You can also contact me via Skype (username: guzminouza) or SMS 6928 6241. I live in Hong Kong, but I sadly can't speak Cantonese.

Plus I have never tried myself. xD I don't exactly know an adequate location, either. I'm not even sure if anyone who posted on this thread have even met each other yet. There doesn't seem to be any rule or event established either, so I suppose as long as its safe, it should be fine? Certainly would feel more immersive.

Hey! I'm interested too. Maybe someone should start a meetup.com group about it. But even if there was a group, I can't imagine larping outdoors unless it's during the fall/winter season... Too humid here to cosplay outdoors. Hmm even then, I can't think of a spacious outdoors and private place. HK in general seems like a horrible place for larp to flourish, unfortunately.
