Hey guys,
as you know we are about to get the 6k from the government, and I'm sure everyone has plans in how to use it. (drinking, donating, airsofting, computers, iPad 2, etc, etc).
So my plan with my 6k is to buy the rest of the things on my list, which is like three things, upgrade my M4 to 1.6 or 1.7 and get a cqb weapon.
So here's my question: Tavor or Type 97, which one would be a good and money well spent cqb weapon? No buying both is not the answer i will be looking for. lol
Thanks

I reckon that you should go for the Tavor-21 ......merely because it's pretty! Although internally not sure about it- on the other hand the type 97 (by real sword I presume) expensive la!! The Tavor has more accessory options....don't listen to me...ask fc or Jin! ;D

Impulse has a Tavor, brought it to our game a few weeks ago at AF.

Noa got a Tavor. Ask him. Texted Calvin about it last night already ;D Imho I like the Tavor more than the RS Type 97... Both each have their own issues but the Tavor is too haaaawt. Mine's kitted up with the real IDF sling and mag well safety thanks to Yonathan =3 It looks sexy. I just need to remove my MARS sight =x

I'm quite happy with my Tavor - couldn't compare to the type 97, however as i've never even held one.
Being completely honest - I got the Tavor mainly due to how amazing it looked.
The TAR-21 is a bit big for a CQB weapon though, and quite heavy, a gun that definitely needs a strap. The weight isn't balanced; it seems like 90-95% of the weight comes from the butt, however this helps with quicker aim and maneuverability. I haven't had any problems with my mags dropping out as some people seem to tell me rumors about. The only problem I've had with mine is on rare occasion, on semi-auto it won't fire, i have to switch it to full auto, then back to semi (this has only happened a few times).
I rather use my pistol for CQB rather than the Tavor, I am planning on getting a P90 for use as a CQB weapon =]
In terms of general warfare and use, I am quite happy with it, I just wouldn't recommend it for CQB.
