Ive been there... "... I all start's in the small, you do some missions, grind creeps and sell to vendors, everything seem pretty harmless, but before you know what, your life starts an addiction, you tell you classmates where to meet when we got home from school, played up until late becouse of the responsability to your group members, I can be so fun that your parrent come in and must ruin the game by pulling out the wire (Ok so you might not have THAT problem, but is that good or bad?!)... ... Well I alot of fun in there, but soon my good friend (In rl =real life) stopped with his brother, I stopped two, though my best friend kept on playing for month, they started to be frindly bullied, not that they cared much really, but they came late, and one still plays the game, although he had cut down... ... I remember laying more than four hours a day... it's not good for you! So in the end when I stopped, I used the function "/played" which allows you to see the time you have been playinjg in the "world" and it was a big number of days ... Well you are responsible, but I am not alone telling this story..." Lol, yeah thats scary to think of, it really have taking alot of my time, it was fun alot of the time though, you can do SO much! Btw if you are going to play, choose Orc Female Sharman and call her Ogralil... ^^ GLHF and look out for your money, there are monthly fee!

I've been tempted ever since, especially with guild wars...though archlight's tale on it simply shattered my dreams. *tear tear* Any online game can be addicting i'd say, i'm already hooked onto Rappelz (wiki it if your curious) but if you've got the time and perhaps the money... no comment~

I've tried alot of MMOPRG's, and they only really work and become extended fun for me when you create alot of fun with real friends and go on raids and missions together.
Sure you can band together with a bunch of strangers, but it looses its appeal after a while with the random element of being stuck with a bunch of morons/ninja looters/laggy team mates.
Also, you'll probably have to play in Asian servers. That could mean a f**k load of china players/bots/farmers who don't speak a word of english, or are more interested into leveling than interacting, making it even harder to socialise and organise parties.
Anyway, Arclight, have you done anything about this, given the trail version a go?

the only reasons why i dont play WoW is this: lack of a proper storyline, or a good enough DM to make one, NO background story/history of the world that truly affects the players, Graphically challenged... i mean, who wears bright pink and puke green into the battlefields? WH40K fans dont answer that... Lack of good music, the impossiblity of gaining levels without forming a group, usually with total strangers which disband after gaining 1 lvl after you've waited 6 hours to form a band... etc etc etc...
However I'm tempted to go try Lord of the Rings online, Warhammer Online or Archlords online.... can i temp anyone else to join me??

Whoa there people, I have no idea what race or class, I don't even know if I'm gonna play yet.
As for the trial, I can't get it to download; I'm not sure they support it in HK.

One of the great things is it's the only game I know in HK that has paycard support, so you can buy top-up cards at game stores, rather than having to pay by credit card. Ensures you follow a set budget/amount of play time to. I'm tempted...but still not willing to play on my lonesone so
