Okay, I got a SMS this morning before the wargame from FC.
Weather is understable for a cancellation, which is what happened...
But someone is also worried about dirty boots and rough ferrying...
I LMAO for a good 15 minutes. Whoever this is, needs a reeducation, preferably with sharp metal objects.
Boots = Can get wet
Boats = Can get wet
Boots = Built for rough conditions
Boats = Built for rough conditions
Boots = Supposed to get dirty - unavoidable
Boats = Supposed to get dirty - unavoidable
Who goes to a wargame expecting boots to stay clean?! Wrap em in black bin liners if you'e worried about dirt on your BOOTS FOR OUTDOOR CONDITIONS! Of course then YOU SHOULDN'T EVEN BE OUTDOORS if you want to worry about boots. Infact you shouldn't even BUY BOOTS, you should buy high heel slippers and go ballroom dancing!
But that's besides the point, I've lived on an Island for over 20 years, and for a majortiy of that time, ferries were the only way on and off, including during typhoons.
I will make it clear to everyone so I never have to hear this stupid comment again. It's a bit much but it drives me mad when I can look out the window and see hardly a wave in this baby rain storm...
Here goes...
UNLESS IT'S TYPHOON 8 SIGNAL IT IS SAFE TO RIDE A FERRY, ALL THE TIME!
There is to be no dispute over this, I've ridden a boat four sizes smaller than the First Ferry stuff in the middle of a typhoon 8, and it was scary as hell, but I needed to since it was the only way home after school had been shut for the duration.
This, was a tiny rainstorm, it wasn't even amber...Boats are meant to get wet!!! From any direction!!!! Unless under!!!!!!
So yeah, after the cancellation, Jeremy called me up, asking if I wanted to go over. SORRY, it's NOT SAFE! It's raining, my boat might drown! Mommy!!! ;D
Also I can't ride a bus to HK side, It might crash, also, can't ride MTR, it might burst into flame, also, I can't walk, I might fall and trip over and break my spine and die.....
I never want to hear this excuse again, it's all been made clear to you!
And the boots....THE BOOTS NOT WANT GET DIRTY!?!?
roflcopter.
Rantage due to boredom over!
