OK, bare in mind that this is only a rough photoshopped idea I had for a theoretical gun mod.
The idea for this concept of mine was fueled mainly from the commonality in airsoft to use solid stocks on the M16 series for the larger battery compartment but the popularity of shorter types making the solid stock look a little out of place.
So I wanted to see if bulking up the fron end, without exceeding the length, could help drag the visual balance a little more forward and so inspired by various movies I did a mock-up for what I call the "MR4" series.
I've got a variety of types from the concept series with an M4A1 for (scale) comparision.
The additions on the tac version are just for flavour but in an actual production model the idea of including a reflex sight and vetical grip might not be a bad idea.
Also, I know full well that the full-length MR4s look weird as the bulky front over-compensates for the length and decided only to include it for comparision (to demonstrate the visual effect) and for the sake of completeness.
OH and btw, yes those are rail covers on the side; the mod features a long integrated rail on the top and side rails. Also, the obviously capacious front end allows for the potential instalation of front-positioned batterys of most sizes as well as offering a generaly sturdier platform for heavier and larger accesories.
So what I want to know is what do you guys think?
(I tend to tinker away on these little sorts of design projects you see and so from time to time I do appreciate feedback)
