Does it make a difference stability wise to have a single piece threaded outer barrel, or an outer barrel which looks normal, and has an adaptor: like so, if i were to have a suppressor attached

shouldnt make a difference unless the threads come loose, which shouldnt happen anyway

i'll prolly do tht too - jus didn't kno if an extra adaptor would compromise stability.
what length would be the best - if i was to chuck a suppressor on a 226?

But stick with a short 1 1/2 to 2 inch silencer because of the floating barrel which the GBB's use the extra weight put on by the suppressor may cause slide locking (rare and only on weak guns) and the tilt during the recoil phase may cause the bullet to hit the inside of the suppressor. I remember for the P226, a reviewer said he didn't like putting suppressors on but hey, if the shit fits, wear it! ;D Personally, I think it's fine as long as the gun is functionally stable (SVI, USP, Glocks, M9s). P226 should be fine too.

wow - i didn't know there could be tht many problems Just knowing them is enough when shit happens but I doubt it'd happen unless you're firing a suppressed gun from an unstable or moving/jerking movement. My friend's SIG 552 had his suppressor clogged and the foam ripped out because he swung his gun as he fired in a rather fast sweep. Practically, chance of that happening is zilp.

Well the other simple thing to keep in mind is jsut to stick to a shorter silencer.
My USP is low powered and low speed but the silencer cause zero problems because it's in propotion to the mechanics of the weapon.
