i got a cheap arse sniper off my brothers mate. apparently its a copy of an old maruzen. as far as i can tell there are no aftermarket parts for it, but does anyone know what kind of springs i can put in? the current spring is ~1/2" in diameter and 12" long ill get some proper measurements and measurements for the cylinder and stuff as well.

I doubt you'd want to put a stronger spring in there. You'll probably end up with a broken piston sear.

He needs to replace pretty much every part in there. Its pretty much fallen to bits. Oh god. Where to start. First off, pour petrol on the Super 9. Then set fire to it, and don't waste water putting it out. They are LEGENDARY in airsoft for being possibly the shittiest thing ever. Really, do not bother at all.

lol, after looking up some details on it i didnt expect anyone to have even bothered posting ;D i did manage to bore out the air nozzle and improve the piston with a rubber seal, so it can shoot about 35m now, but after that the pellet bombs and the only way to fix that is to fit some sort of hop-up which clearly isnt worth my time since the shitty barrel makes it too inaccurate anyway. theres no way to fit a better spring since the trigger catch only holds cos i filed a groove into it, so the only way to do that would be to re-manufacture the piston in metal. this is a; beyond my means to do b; totally pointless since i could get a totally new gun cheaper.
in the end all i wanted to do with it was refurbish it so me my bro and his mate would have a gun each for doing small skirmishes between us and frankly i dont think its evven gonna stand up to that considering the horrendus number of miss-fires it gets, time to start saving for that L96 then ;D

As I said, Grunty, I can get you a MP001 + Scope + Bipod + extra mag for $600.
And I can even upgrade it a little too.

Yeah we'll go with that, though I would have preferred Arclight's L96 for the same price.
