well i was bored so i decided to replace the standard contact switch in my M4 with a solid-state mosfet switch. this supposedly gains about 10-15% RPM increase and extends the life of the contact switch by no longer hving high current sparks jumping across it when you fire. what, why and how here; www.airsoftmechanics.com/home/content/view/23/30/1/0/after having one mosfet scavenged out of a powersupply die on me i went to maplin (electronics shop) and bought a couple. unfortunatley i didnt read all the way to the end of the guide and didnt see the correction that says you should use at least a 200w mosfet and so i only have a 100w one. so after about a 5sec burst of full auto the mosfet over heats and the ROF drops, keeping going after this would probably burn it out. also i found i couldnt actually fit the mosfet inside the reciever so i had to cut a hole and feed it outside where it and its homemade heatsink are now bolted to the side of the gun. so this mod might be worth doing if you can find the right mosfet (or just get a premade kit) and you have room in your gun. ill get pics of my terrible handiwork if i can find a camera ;D.

Hate to break it to ya... but I'd rather buy a $15 HKD high silicone circuit & trigger set if the contacts burn out.
