So does anyone think it's possible to start with a STAR M249 para and remove the plastic foregrip and attach rails to the front end?
I wanna add the option of adding vertical grip and maybe a laser on the 249 and I'm exploring the possibility of adding rails to allow that.
Or, for that matter, if any existing rail kits for other brand 249s would fit the STAR version?
So what do we think?

lol I don't have that many. And I am looking for a job, but it's hardly my fault that everyone keeps rejecting me. BESIDES, you Jeremy, jumping to conclusions as always. This is what we call research, you know, the thing you do instead of buying M14s and UMPs randomly on short notice. I'm asking questions so that when I can afford it, I have a plan and not just random ideas that I blurt out without thinking first, eh?

i didnt buy the EBR, i got my monies back already... and doing research to plan to buy future guns isnt a good enough excuse.
You should be doing research into why you're being rejected from those "applications" you've so diligently made. Especially how both Billy and I can find a job here in HK. (not to mention the little stint i got for you down in Singapore, to which you didnt appreciate the effort, nor did any real work, rather procrastinating, and playing online games whilst sitting in my dad's private office...).
Not to mention squandering the money given to you by Viv foryour cpu fund into yet more guns, or upgrading em.

Apart from the STAR Mk43 parts, there are no off the shelf railed grips that will fit the STAR M249. It requires MAJOR modding and significant weakening of the structural build to fit CA/TOP grips.
Sorry.

Oh ignore Mal, leave him alone; he's just throwing a hissy fit, probably off his meds or somthing. Anyway, yeah; I did some looking around and I think I'm gonna have to do some major mod. At this stage, it looks like I'm gonna have to bolt on some rails to it. Just so you guys know, I plan to ditch the bipod completely (dead weight as I don't really use it) and I'll most likely remove the plastic foregrip and bolt right onto the metal body. Rather then trying to fit an existing system onto the gun, instead I'm talking of getting plain rails on the gun and going for more of custom peice rather then trying to replicate somthing real-steel. Though ditching "realism", I'd still like a solution which looks like a real-steal "custom mod".

I saw a guy's M249 at Finmere. STAR M249 Para. He drilled on various rails to make a RAS Looked perfectly fine to be honest, unless you specifically want the RAS look. I like the idea of drilling more though kekekeke.

Actualy, so do I. Though first I wanna take off the plastic hand guard and the bipod, drill right onto the metal frame. If that can work, I'd SO love that. (to be honest, I'm not keen on the full RAS, custom railage suits me fine) I'll have to get FC to run my 249 along to Chris or someone to sort that out; lord knows I barely have enough time to breath these days.
