My Phantom AUG, old version. NOT a successful sniper More like an SVD, long range support type. The Versa-pod bipod bent the lower phantom rail so I don't use the versa pod anymore (it's got a sling swivel though, pretty cool). Oh and notice the M-1 2000-3000 rnd magazine modification. It had an LED light on the left rail, and a laser clamped onto the 3-9x40 TASCO scope. --- And as you know, my completely stock and useless PSG-1 with only 1 mag.... But looks damn cool with my version 1 recon ghillie suit... I haven't had time to take the current versions of my guns. Will do for Con's sake. With different mods on it too!!

Ouch. you guys make me feel bad. I have just the SR-16. but it's the sexiest of the lot. . In fact it'll be even sexier once I add a cranestock to it. make it an M4 with all the rails. How much does a scope cost that has the rails on it? like FC's?

purpose of the SR?? What might that be? Up ta sk8 what he wants to do but man, stick with the SR as you have now. Big stock. Big batt. Slightly longer barrel length. Just need a nice M203, an ACOG and a QD silencer (and kill your arms with the weight Con! You gotta work out the arms for the M203 man ) If I stick a M203 on the M4 CQB/R (shorter barrel version of the M4), would it look funky?

the purpose of the SR is to not look like the M4. M4s r ugly thats y i got the SR, be unique. yea i'll get my arms pumped after my left arm heals fully

Well, I just wanted an M4. But I needed the weight in the back... my left arm isn't too strong. Crane stock allows me to keep the weight in the back and go for the sexy ass m4 look. M4 RIS doesnt. cuz then when I buy the cranestock the guy will charge me for rewiring to the back and i can't be bothered =/

the dot sight i mentioned in other theard was a... Walther 35mm 03 Circle Reticle priced at US$55 at UNcompany online. thats $400 HK$ so to get of temple street for $188 would be a good score. for my tri rail scope... well.. it don't have a brand name and i also got it from temple st markets. i have been trying to find it online to compare the prices but can't find it. I think its a copy scope... lol the price could be between $300 to $400... depending on your bargining power... lol I found a similar 4 X 32 (mines 4 x 28) tri-rail scope for US$62 online so maybe around HK$450 instore. but if your really interested... i can pop down to the st... and see whats available. they do have a resonable range of scopes in 3 or 4 stalls. few laser and red dots sights also. and the option to bargin a little. ;D FC

lol.... the street is just one street away... and even after i move... it will still be one street away. it may pay to let me know what your interested in... i'll go have a looky after dinner one night. oh.. its a "night market" mostly tourist shyt... but theres the odd gem stall. like the camoed pants and shirts for under $100. and the miltary badges, patches, hemets, holsters and shovels etc. some realistic gun lighters.... lol. but have to admit the range of scopes is better than i seen in aglye st. well.. ok... maybe 15 to 20 ish... in 3 or 4 stalls. i think some are good quality... the light up cross hairs type anyways... hey... i could take my camera down and take a pic... lol if they let me... u jsut have to change the lens to green
|
|
|
Post by aznsk8s87 on Jan 17, 2006 17:41:25 GMT 8
actually when it comes to lasers, there's more involved.
Red lasers are more common because they have a lower wavelength; therefore they're not as highpowered and are cheaper than greenies. (so i've been told. you may be right lol)

|
Post by conspiracy on Jan 17, 2006 19:31:21 GMT 8
;)lets go physics
to obtain red the wavelength would be approx 0.6 micrometers and for green approx 3~ micrometers

wait a min. It goes from Radiowaves to microwaves (i think), then to infrared, and then to the color spectrum... something like that... Red is the slowest and violet is the fastest; hence ultraviolet being after it.... then to gamma and crap... But wouldn't this mean that reds are the least powerful and green are more powerful (well not so much as violet, but still;; The reason a bunch of my posts are Chris (aznsk8s87) is because I can't be bothered to login at school.

Nice Better than no camouflage. Why don't you spray paint it instead though?

aye... thought about it.... but then thought... it cock it up and it looks butt ugly i can't change it back... but now i think.... i can paint over the bad paint job with a good paint job.... or still make the gun dress... lol. huuummm... thinking... FC

It's not easy to fk up the paint job.
If you're going jungle, you only need 1 base paint which is Olive Drab or light green.
But if you want the camouflage splotches, then it gets hard, but the gun would look real butt ugly then.
This is what I'd do:
spray over a dark base paint like light brown or green.
Then place over plant leaves and branches and use them as 'stencils' and spray over lighter green and brown.
So then what you get left is a gun with realistic camouflage.
The camouflage of the gun isn't as important compared to the body camouflage because it's much smaller (and even smaller from a far) so you shouldn't worry if it doesn't camouflage itself as well as you do.
