Daaamit. I want to play. I'm a druid. Tank-ish spellcaster in the frontline. Well atleast with Elanee I shove all the damage spells in my spell book and give the buffing in hers or reverse if I want to be tanking and she's just being the artillery.

so once again, what ports need to be opened... and what settings need to be where for everyone to play??
BTW, Arclight may be going down the ranger path.. a long long path too, considering how he's drawing money from his cpu funds to buy a new gun again..
and i'll probably head down the Monk/assassin path...

Le sigh, the portforward link is on page one of this thread...
As for 'long time', I'm getting bored of waiting for people to sort this out, I would like to play a full party game, I don't want hearsay or maybes or please waits anymore.
I realise people are currently in exams, and that's fully understandable, so I'm going to wait till everyone is finished, please, people who are interested, let me know when you are back/finish exams/start summer holidays, basically when you'll be free to play. We'll play a game based on the week most convenient.
Current roll call besides myself is:
Malavern FC Riot Magiaz Yonathan
I'm not sure my computer can take more than 6 players. Everyone on roll-call, except FC, please let me know when you're free. I will schedule something and we will stick to it.
Also, Noa, Arclight, anyone else interested, let me know what your plan is, when you can join, if you actually plan to commit or not, I want to get this started and I don't want to make everyone stand around.
12th of May: Saturday's game still stands at Hong Kong time of 19:00.

Ok guys, got a meeting scheduled, so have to move the game to 19:00, same day, same details.
It's not a big change, just that I need to create some time for travelling, since I live on an Island, it's just to make sure I'm not running late.
If you're playing, meet me on MSN around that time, once everyone is in we'll play on from a level 4-5 point I have saved. So make sure you have a level 4 or 5 character exported and ready to use.

I've figured out the console commands, if i send them to fer, he should be able to use them to boost everyone else's character level to match exactly our own, even if they are level 1. It means he has to host though, since only the host can use them.
So you don't have to bother, but if you've leveled your character manually, it'd be better since you'd have picked up appropriate equipment / gold etc.
my game character's exp was at 10,435, so if you want to aim at an exact number...
Regardless you can make a level 1 character and pick up and play on the day, so don't worry about it. just means we'll have to buy armour / numerous stabby things.
One last thing, make sure the game is fully updated before online play, since you can't join a server that's a different version, and consider doing the account registration crud that needed to search for games. saves time on the day for anyone who hasn't done so yet.

"Daaamit. I want to play." [Diplomacy] Noa, Are you sure you can't play? You'd have so much fun! "head down the Monk/assassin path" Sechs. Perfect. Lol. Of course I can't play. Time diff and exams. I'd love to when I get back and hopefully for the expansion of NWN2 Trying monk. Laughed my ass off when all the attacks the char made where double handed smash and a groin kick until you hit some really high levels where you finally do a punch and a turning kick.

Soon we'll be able to start crafting, once we get qara and give her the right feats. After that we'll be able to forge and enchant character specific weapons / armour, so that shouldent be a problem. Curiously enough, most of the spells she starts with cover almost all the enchanting spells 0_o
Been messing around with a whole bunch of character designs, though i can't stand anything that's not in full plate / tower shield or pure sorc.
I've also been trying to go through neverwinter solo XD It's... interesting.

Once I got to the back alley (going law), i took neshka along, but I did Hagen / Caleb / Corrupt guards solo...
I tried with a ranger (two weapon fighting), with one level of rogue to aim for shadow dancer... distracted them with wolf and then sneak attacked them okay.
Eventually i had to take neeska, and as long as one of us was attacking the same target, one or the other had sneak damage...
either way, the key is to try and lure one by one, and take 'em out piecemeal... or so it seems. My character had pretty low AC, which ended up as my downfall when i went through the warehouse the wrong way, and had a group of thugs spawn / teleport in a circle around me, which ended up my downfall.
The materials guy in the Merchant's quarter sells a rod of the ghost for only 6,500gp, which i think would of been a massive boon (5damage reduction, 1/day unlimited charge), but i couldent buy it since i spent all my money on getting a law-bringer sword (+3 vs chaotic) in order to pwn thieves / bandits. I was also playing a lawful char so i couldent steal / demand money, and ended up poor.
though ranger / rogue probably wasn't the best option. I reckon pure fighter, and buffing with rod of ghost or stoneskin from gragoyle books would do it though. Might go Monk/Sorc or wiz, using sorc/wiz for Mage Armour/Shield/Enlarge person, and later ghostly visage, and using the monks hand to hand ability to effectively use touch attack spells like shocking grasp / combust.
probably need at least one rogue level for trap disabling, but that would kinda rule out anything except human/half-elf...
I reckon it's possible, just not with any non-human with less than 2 classes...
Edit: I tried soloing using a high AC fighter with the ghost rod, and it IS possible, but it just takes completely forever, because you have to kill every guy single handedly, one by one. So its possible, since hte character hardly ever takes damage, but it takes so long it gets kinda boring. I managed to clear the warehouse, then got assigned the emmisary rescue quest and then just decided to sod it. Can't be stuffed to individually kill 200 orcs with a halberd.

Some more photos Poor FC tried to join us, but he kept crashing and getting beaten up by his computer. Oh well, least he tried it. ;D Magiaz, Me, FC Here we are kicking some zombie butt. And then here we are dying at the hands of the lizards. I made the mistake of challenging the lizards to fight before everyone had a chance to sync up, so Magiaz was left standing there, his computer accepting everyone was friendly, while he got beat up on. All the hits caught up at once, then he crashed. Doh. He decided to take it out on the lizardmen outside the cave. He got a bit to much into it. o.0 Skulls for the blood god! This is another game. It's Magiaz and I playing 'Dodge the fireballs' I won. ;D

So yeah, the second qara gets the craft magic arms and armour feat, I think the first priority is going to be fire resisting armour -_-
Same time as always, saturday's eveningish. usaully 19:00...
"i should be able to make it"
Dodge the fireball is hard enough with only one spellcaster. XD At least we've only got one set of fire resisting robes...

Muahaha, double post! Latest campaign update. I always wondered what ferox did while waiting for me to join. Now I know. He burns stuff. Ferox surveys the day's takings of his thieves' guild. It is not enough. He demands more. Ferox decides to bore the hell out of me by going through conversations very very very very VERY slowly. On purpose. Our party has come near eradication several times. This may be due to Ferox having access to the fireball spell. The monsters do love all to us, and certainly aren't a threat, seeing as 100% of player character deaths are, mysteriously, fireball related. Ferox being unsuspicious. He is the one holding the torch, next to the burning pile of flammable materials. Someone has commited arson to this building. Ferox is standing next to the building still holding a torch. Apparently, the guards still consider this unsuspicious. Myself and Ferox playing with a machine that launches fireballs on tap. Fer relaxes after a long day of pimping his bitches (featured left and right) and burning stuff. Stuff including, but not limited to; thugs, player characters, guards, associates, buildings, signposts, the undead, civilians, small cities and more player characters. One player character in particular I might add. -_-

Ferox decides to bore the hell out of me by going through conversations very very very very VERY slowly. On purpose. Haha, we can use skype and microphones to talk, making coordination alot easier. I complained to Magiaz once when he skipped through an entire conversation I hadn't played before, so when it was my turn, I read the conversation in extreme slow motion. Out loud. Good times. ;D Fer relaxes after a long day of pimping his bitches (featured left and right) and burning stuff. Stuff including, but not limited to; thugs, player characters, guards, associates, buildings, signposts, the undead, civilians, small cities and more player characters. One player character in particular I might add. -_- you're looking at a first class arsonist. Never stand to far away from the party, especially when I'm controlling Qara, consider it an attack of opportunity. I love that last picture by the way. I'm a MACK DADDY! Fear my finger of pimpness! HOOAH!

Sweet, looks like we'll finally have a session with a party's worth of people.
This Saturday, 19:00 HK time I'm assuming. Skype isn't essential, but is preferable, makes things alot easier. Even if you don't have mic, you can still listen in to the convo with just the program. (I think)
Remember, where there's Ferox, there's fire.

A continous event at the farms of West Harbour, home of Ferox: Yeah should be 19:00 today, if I'm 5 or 10 minutes late, stick around online, I'll be there, just remember I need to catch a ferry which only services once every 30 minutes.
