I really want to invest in a good sniper. Around 1.9J and is dead accurate.
Im making a new thread to gather your ideas on what type of springs, hop-ups and barrels to buy... I know that I have made a similar thread before, but this time I will actully buy the stuff we as a group agree on. Hopefully, Goliath can help me assembly the stuff.
Thanks

I did have 1 shot in Tai Tam, it over hoped, maybe cause it wasnt fully complete then...I am looking for a DEAD accurate sniper... Naming the brand and model of springs, pistons and internal gears would be much better.

For example... a 3J sniper rifle would be dead accurate at 20 meters while a 1.9J will have deviations of 8cm groupings FOR EXAMPLE. So what you should be doing is find your own 'effective engagement' range e.g. how close is best for you and your rifle and adjust your play style to that range. Later if you find your shots missing - just get closer.

No, Yonathan's sniper rifle, and Ninjapoos for that matter are just pure sex, and are both excellent examples of good sniper rifles. 8cm groupings that Noa was talking about? Take a ruler and measure yourself from armpit to armpit...Try tell me 8cm is crap. ;D In airsoft, you don't need to be dead accurate, it only takes 1 hit to get a kill

my L96 aint too bad too... but 8cm? only during really windy situations, all you need to do is adjust your aim...
but in near perfect conditions, the most variations i get is around at max 5 cm, Firing down a range at a game site!

No, Yonathan's sniper rifle, and Ninjapoos for that matter are just pure sex, and are both excellent examples of good sniper rifles. You might be giving too much credit to their rifles and not to their skill And having heard from Ninjapoo on what he used to upgrade the parts - I remember he said he spent about ~1000 or abit more for the internals. So you should take that into consideration - if you're buying more than 1000 HKD then you're obviously buying something extra and unnecessary.Getting back on track... on what parts to buy King Arms and Laylax (Jap) PSS brand parts for hop-ups and pistons are the way to go. The most relevant (and important) part is the hopup. For tightbores, you can't go wrong if you go with Prometheus or another Japanese brand. Now the power. I guess you'll settle for ~1.9J +/- 0.09J Good luck cocking the bolt! Make sure you buy the reinforced piston set else the stock one will shear away. Then we're onto the use of BB weights... 0.3g BBs are standard and balanced (IMHO) 0.36g - about the same but better trajectory - I used these for IPSC-use SV Infinity. 0.42g - non graphite coated ones! Has the least deviation but range is decreased alot which must be compensated with arcing. In S3 I shot FC with my MSG90 (1.99J) from one end of the field to the other.... and I believe it was only possible thanks to the 0.42g BB. Maruzen Grandmaster 0.32g BB's I hear are supreme but expensive (100 HKD for 100 rnds or something) and I've used those on my MSG90. Honestly no difference over the 0.3g BBs xD But I remember reading a post from www.airsoftplayers.com (don't click it - site is dead) where they was someone who was nutters over the maruzen grandmaster BBs and he went on about the spherical diameter consistency of the maruzen BBs which had THE LEAST error margin on EACH BB (+/-0.01 mm or something stupidly statistical like that). TM also makes sniper grade ammo but it's error margin (printed on the box) isn't that great at (if I remember correctly - so don't take this for fact) +/- 0.05 (which makes you wonder what their non-sniper grade ammo is like!). Don't forget - the ammo makes a difference only if the barrel can make use of it. --- Off topic... My Prometheus AEG 6.03 tightbore sucks. I can hear the BB roll down the barrel and 'rattle' Tightbore - my ass. I'm going back to Systema!
