Okay so I'd like to know how to look after my guns as they sit at home, with as minimal effort as possible...
One thing that happened recently, I hadn't used my M4 in over a month, so when I first fired it...the bbs dropped after 5 meters. Noa said I had to put some silicon in there and fire some rounds through it to soften it up again, and it seemed to work fine after that...
So what do I do while I'm home, do I put a few rounds through all my guns a once every 2 weeks or something? Are there are other simple recommendations to keep performance up?

if you have a dry room (i.e. a room with 24/7 dehumidifier/aircon), store your guns in there.
Every 2 weeks or so, fire atleast 15 rounds through the gun. Every month, spray the hopup and any visible internals with silicon.
every month or so, do some dusting to prevent dirt/grit/dust from getting into moving parts of the gun, it'll help reduce the problems you have with it.
Also, if you have a scope, you'll need to unmagnify it if you've used the maginification option. make sure its stored horizontally to the floor, not standing upright.
O, and make sure that your spring is back to its relaxed position, and not all wound up
